Each and every birth is unique, which is why I approach each home birth experience with compassion, attentiveness, and expertise. As your San Antonio midwife, From 37 to 42 weeks into your pregnancy, I will be on call, patiently waiting for your baby to say its time to meet you. Throughout this period, I offer midwifery support round-the-clock availability to address any questions, conduct labor assessments, and provide unwavering attentive midwifery support. As San Antonio midwives, we adhere to evidence-based and following best midwife practices laid out by the Midwifery Model of Care, I will be monitoring the well-being of both you and your baby, assessing labor progression, and offering guidance as necessary.

As your midwife, I collaborate closely with your family, we work as a united team to create the gentle and empowering home birth experience that you envision. As a trained, educated, and certified San Antonio homebirth midwife, I am well-equipped to respond to various birth scenarios, ensuring a secure and positive birthing environment for both you and your baby. Once the big day comes, I will remain by your side throughout the birth and labor process, and into the immediate postpartum period. During this time I will continue to work alongside you to facilitate breastfeeding, establish skin-to-skin contact, conduct newborn examinations, and ensure healthy transitions for your family.

Pre-Birth Support

Even before the birth, I will be by your side, offering you support and advice throughout your pregnancy. When the time finally comes, I will prepare your birthing area, including the birth pool if you prefer a water birth. I will stay by your side as long as you need and do everything within my ability to ensure you have the ideal birth experience.

      Birth & Labor

      The choice for women to bring their baby into the world in the comfort and safety of their own home, instead of in a hospital, is becoming more and more popular. Midwives like me work to make this decision a reality by keeping up-to-date on the latest medical knowledge and certifications required to give you and your family the safest most enriching birth possible.
      • All non-disposable equipment for birth provided
      • Emergency equipment provided as a precaution
      • Relaxation techniques

      • Warm compresses for avoiding tears
      • Water birth is available and recommended
      • A second assistant always present with your midwife

                  Postpartum Care

                  After the birth, I will take care of all cleanup, including the birth pool and laundry. All you need to focus on is the newest member of your family and relax. I will continue to stay by your side until your first successful breastfeeding session together.
